Hello reader 👋

I hope you’re well and blessed in Jesus name✝️

It’s been a while since I last shared a word here but I feel it’s the right time. And I really believe you are not reading this by accident today. God loves you and I and He wants to speak to our hearts ❤️. So I pray we will have readied hearts to receive what the Lord of Heaven has for us today in Jesus name!

Amen 🙏🏿

The Lord Jesus Christ took the place of a “notorious prisoner” (Matthew 27:15) to die a shameful and undeserving death on the Cross. Barabbas was let go and released into the multitudes. A murderous criminal, deserving of death, made free.

My friend, this man represents you and I!

You may not have committed murder but did you know that Jesus said if you hate someone, you have murdered in your heart? (Matthew 5:21-22).

This is the holy standard of God! His righteousness exceeds our own sense of right and wrong by a great measure! God doesn’t look at the outward appearance but sees the indwelling evil in our hearts.

The anger, unforgiving attitude, lust, pride, rebellion, lack of respect for parents, idolatry.. and many more evils.

In some way, we are all guilty of this. And, as a result, we have become or once were notorious prisoners of SIN. Cuffed in spiritual chains by the sinful desires of our flesh.

The reality is we were and are deserving of death (Hell). But, my friend, Jesus took our place!

Hallelujah 🥳🎉

Driven by the Joy of knowing His beloved bride (you and I) and his reckless love for us, He remained silent in the face of false accusations, was spat upon, mocked, humiliated and most significantly endured the Cross! ✝️

But it wasn’t over!

He rose to life on the third day by the power of the Holy Ghost and now everyone who puts their faith in Jesus Christ (asks God for forgiveness and repents of their sin) is saved from the wrath of God!

Praise God! 🥳 And thank you Jesus for your obedience to the Cross! ✝️💜✝️

Now, being made free from the law (or judgment) of sin and death, we are called to take up our cross (deny our selfish desires and suffer the persecution that comes with standing up for the gospel) and follow Jesus.

As believers, we have transferred from prisoners of Sin to prisoners of Christ; prisoners of His love ❤️

And Just like Barabbas was accustomed by the Governer to be released into the multitudes, the Lord has redeemed you and is releasing you into your University, Workplace, Church, Neighbourhood, Country and the whole World as an ambassador for His gospel. ✝️ 📖

As Jesus, our great High priest said to His disciples:

“The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”

(Matthew 9:37-38)

“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.”

(Matthew 28:19-20)

May we do as the Lord has commanded us in Jesus name. Amen

Thanks so much for reading this far. 🤝

I hope you and I were encouraged and blessed by the Lord today.

If you can, please share this message with a friend! I’d really appreciate it 😊

God bless you ❤️
