Every once in a while, i must teach my soul to recall this truth……every time I wallow in an under-appreciated spirit, pride is lurking at my hearts chamber. Who am I doing it for? Because my life is not for me, my life is His. it’s not about me, it doesn’t matter whether I’m appreciated or not (by men). It’s all for His glory. i remind my soul, this intersection between the flesh and the Spirit, this battleground; my worth was given, proved by the death of My saviour. Seek Him first, glory will come from men but remember that’s not your “well done good and faithful servant” yet. Tarry in the secret place child of God. Altars are for two, not a crowd. But when the two become one, the power can transform a nation. God is calling you to singleness. Settle. Settle. Settle. Otherwise, unnecessary needs linger, pulsating the heart.
LUST, the slayer of strong men, from the spirit standpoint, rendered and graced by the Holy Ghost to be champions of the Faith, but woefully reduced to a crust of bread, that even the dogs deliberate, as they sought to fill their belly, with Babylon’s finest delicacies, rejecting the new wine of His faithfulness, love and grace – under appreciation of his Saviour, left a vacancy and the flesh took advantage. It can happen to anyone. It is the unfinished story of many.
Yes, An undiscerning and hedonistic generation brooding under the demonic fragrance of the immoral woman who’s feet never stay at home, who humbles herself under the hands of foolish, broken men who have chased for wind long enough; alas, the infatuation has conceived!; an opportunity to sin, really to gratify death! Avoid at all cost! This life ain’t worth eternal damnation. She is crafty and has wrapped her harlotry in kind, tricky words. Avoid at all cost!
How does one avoid such an enticing snare???
I Thessalonians 5:16-18 NKJV
“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”
I Thessalonians 5:21-22 NKJV
“Test all things; hold fast what is good. Abstain from every form of evil.”
Otherwise (for this use case of Lust)….these may be the last words you hear.
Proverbs 7:14-15 NKJV
“I have peace offerings with me; Today I have paid my vows. So I came out to meet you, Diligently to seek your face, And I have found you.”
I have found you – a restless serpent enlarging your ego, yet you are dust and will fall like this prince.
enraptured in the arms of a seductress???
You are prostituting what belongs to the Lord; your body
My child. You were made alive in Jesus. He gave you His life, His robe of Righteousness traded for your filthy rags. A ludicrous deal sponsored by the agape love of your Heavenly Father🕊️
I’m done rambling now
Now, onto the eternal word that can save your soul (renew your mind***)…
Some scripture to hide in our hearts ♥️
I Peter 5:5-7 NKJV
”Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.” Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.“
Revelation 4:11 AMP
“Worthy are You, our Lord and God, to receive the glory and the honor and the power; for You created all things, and because of Your will they exist, and were created and brought into being.”
Now affirm the Truth, kill the under-appreciation stronghold in the soul by shifting your focus on King Jesus.
Hebrews 12:1-2 NKJV
“Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
Galatians 6:9 NKJV
“And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.”
Colossians 3:23-24 NKJV
“And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.”
***salvation is an imminent work of the Spirit; your spirit is made new and perfected in holiness by the blood of Jesus. But the soul – mind, will and emotions – needs saving, healing from the aftermath of being bound to the flesh’s impulses (old sinful nature which you have died to as Christ did) and the world.
